Morocco is a country full of contrasts. It boasts incredible and diverse landscapes, ranging from the Atlas Mountains to desert dunes and the forests of the region known as the Moroccan Switzerland. We invite you to explore them in your Cayenne E1 off-road, on an exciting journey spanning over 2000 km through roads and extensive scenic off-road tracks that will lead you to an unforgettable experience.

The route

7 Stages

Our route consists of 7 stages. 7 days during which we will travel across the country from Tangier to the dunes of Erg Chebbi, crossing the Atlas Mountains on incredible high-mountain tracks that will take us from Imilchil to Dades, passing through high passes. Once in the deep south, we will traverse vast desert plains while crossing dry lakes to reach Merzouga. On the return journey to the north, we will cross the Atlas Mountains again, this time via Midelt to get to Aguelmame.

Sharing a passion

Exploring any country on wheels is always a rewarding experience. However, we believe that doing it as a group is even more enjoyable and fulfilling. Join our Cayenne E1 caravan to share the experience with other enthusiasts like yourself. And don’t forget to bring typical products from your region, because during the upcoming week, as is tradition in Challenge events, we will take advantage of some midday breaks to have informal picnics to have a good time all together. This is also the Challenge.

Solidarity

A small action a big help

Another tradition in Challenge events, especially in Africa, is to bring charitable supplies; each team must carry at least 15 kg of gently used clothing, notebooks, pencils, or toys. We will distribute all this material in one of the poorest areas of the North African country, in a direct action that will allow us to experience something as intense as it is rewarding.

For this great adventure, a special selection of accommodations awaits us with a contrast of styles that will surprise you. Ranging from luxury hotels such as Xaluca to two charming local riads located in unique places. All the necessary comforts will be at our disposal, along with excellent local cuisine.

Extra activities

From buggies to camels

As part of this adventure, we will also offer you some additional but highly appealing activities. How about a buggy ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi? And if the buggies aren’t enough for you, we suggest a peaceful camel ride through the same dunes to watch the sunset. And at night, a legendary Challenge party is a must. Indeed, in the desert, we will enjoy a night of fire and stars where music will not be lacking… nor the gin and tonics either.

Experience and passion

The organisers have a large experience at organising expeditions and trips in Morocco as well as other African countries and around the world. One of their most famous adventures is the Vw Golf Challenge, the non-competitive solidarity raid par excellence that has been taking place in Morocco since 2012, with the Vw Golf as the protagonist. Today, nearly 100 Golf vehicles participate in this annual event from all over Europe, and after more than a decade of success, the Vw Golf Challenge continues to grow year after year. Cayenne challenge, born from the same non-competitive idea, shares the spirit but being much more exclusive.
